The Spanish cosmetics attended the China Beauty Expo trade show held in Shanghai from 20 to 22 May. ICEX Spain Export and Investment, through its “Beauty From Spain” program was an information pavilion through which they occurred to know the advantages of the Spanish cosmetics.

In this edition, the Spanish participation consisted of various brands of high level: Alissi Brontë, Thalissi, CV Primary Essence and 3 carnations. The natural cosmetics and professional manicure and pedicure items of these brands generated a huge interest among local visitors.

Besides this group participation, other renowned brands in the sector, as Thuya or Germaine de Cappuccini, attended the fair with its local partner.

Although China is not yet a priority for Spanish exports of cosmetics destination, due in part to difficulties in obtaining health certificates in the country’s export performance is very positive and show an average annual growth of 17% since 2009 .

In addition, the Chinese cosmetics market has enormous potential, especially in the categories of professional products for skin care and natural cosmetics, sectors in which the Spanish industry, with its culture and tradition, is one of the leaders worldwide.
